Turtle is still friends with Sandy McSouthers aka Julian R. Eastman. Turtle was very sad when Sandy finally died. In the end Turtle is playing the game of chess with her nephew. Just like Sam Westing, Barney Northrup, Julian R. Eastman, Windy Windkloppel, and Sandy McSouthers did.
